'ello & mt 'Camaro: First Drive'

Hey guys, I've been lurking here for a long while and I finally decided to register and say whats up. I'm driving a 99 Camaro right now...v6 (selling for a z28) and I absolutely love EVERYTHING about the new Camaro.

Anyways, just read this article on motor trend, sorry if its a repost I did a quick search and didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ive/index.html

They were absolutely gushing about the car, noting that there isn't anything 'base' about the base v6 they tested. They even went so far as to suggest 'selling off all your mustang stock'. I won't be able to own one for a couple of years but I cannot wait to see them out and about on the road! Cheers.

Edit:
Oops looks like the article is actually a month old... well maybe somebody out there missed it the first time around and can see it, maybe.

There's a pretty strong consensus that the Camaro will impress all.

It's good to have you on board.

mustang finished? hmmmmm this is a great car but never will it kill the mustang, base camaro is in the price neighborhood of a GT mustang and as wonderful as the handling is no one is gonna take a v6 pony car on the track, they'll be used on the highways...
I found this comment funny... Dragon, care to comment?

Yeah, it's a reposted article -- but hey! Who doesn't like to read Camaro praise?

I got to his/her price guestimation...and I started laughing. What's to say? He/she is in denial.

I'd have to agree with the track comment. Percentage-wise, nowhere near as many V6 cars will be raced as SS's. But the fact that it COULD be taken to the track (and raced rather well, I might add) is phenominal!

The V6 cars are the bread and butter of both of these car lines. And considering how much better the Camaro is, and the speculation that the 4.0L stays as-is in the 2010 Stang...The Ford Mustang may be in for quite a bit of trouble....

I'd like to comment! lol

You'd be surprised......there are ALOT of v6 cars on tracks that are spankin v8 cars, there are several built and/or turbo'ed mustang 4.0's running 11's - 12's.
