I have seen these Taruses run quick as heck w/a few mods!!! Nothing to take lightly.

Just look at scrmngs brick......embarasses V8's all day long.

DI motors keep surprising all.

You can get a tune but it won't do much on a stock motor nowadays, power wise at least. Really woke up my Auto SS though, shifts with very little lag, still there obviously but it's a huge improvement over stock.

Any n/a motor that uses an ECM to control timing, afr, etc can benefit from a "tune".

No hurt feelings here. I forgot the OP, SHO has some mods. I'm talking bone stock, I know I'll beat a bone stock SHO. The #'s don't lie. Once you start modding, of course, you up the chances of beating something that was faster than you stock. I wonder if the SHO that revved up beside me at a light that day was stock or modded. If my kid wasn't in the back...

OP Camaro is modded too. Stock for Stock i think it will be close for the SHO vs a L99. The LS3 if the driver can launch then the SHO should lose easily stock

Raced a friend of a friends blacked out Taurus AWD from a roll. Supposedly he was running only a tune. Ran him in the G8 close for a bit, pulled him pretty good up top.

The G8 was tuned only, by SCT. Stock everything including original paper filter.

Here's a graph of the power my G8 was putting down. That's the power with the "regular" tune. This day I was running the 93 hard tune. Torque management dialed way down, shift points changed and rev limiter raised. I dunno. I think getting that kind of speed, which I don't doubt you can, you might be running something else.

Bone stock w/93oct my car dyno at 297hp & 300flb. and that w/AWD lose. Sorry about the quality(my youngest 20yr old drop the camera never work right after). This Z & and other were made to look bad by me and a stock G8, 4DR Go get the beer car's. PS I still had the dealer tag on.

MYDLIFECRISIS Me and Dertyboi laugh at this hole Thread yesterday at work. but some time you have Toads go to other car forum just to cause trouble. I like having fun with my car and friends cars. Plus Ford & Chev have worked together some much the last 5-10yr most of their cars have 20-40% tech that was design together. So us FANS of one car or the other should not fight with each other.

No fighting here my friend. Like I said, no hurt feelings. I welcome the comradery. I'm enlightened to know that guys are out there modding their "family" cruisers. It'll make you think twice about who you stage up against!!
