I love the look of the 21" GM rims also, but the price is insane. There is a guy on here now looking to sell the 21"s in all black for $2500 or so which is WAY more reasonable and he includes the tires and TPMS. You might want to jump on that if you want the all black OEM 21 look.

Those 21" wheels are sweet, but like everyone else said, way to overpriced. Thats why i got mine used.

I opted out of them.... Look at it this way. That is $4800 above and beyond the 20"s.
If your still not convinced.

A rear 20" Pirelli P-Zero (275/40ZR20XL106Y CHV) from Discount tire is $225
A rear 21" Pirelli P-Zero (275/35R21XL 103Y CHV)From discount tire is $495

You will also find that at Discount Tire the only 21" you'll find is the Pirelli. That is a testament to everything that has been said above.

You ready to pay a grand when you roast the back tires off? I am not.

Please don't.
That money could be spent on much better (and a lot lighter) set of wheels (for less cash).

You could also buy lots of mods with that extra cash.

If you want blacked out wheels, you could have the stock 20's powdercoated for $500 or less. $4800 is a joke.

Wow, ok so i'm getting the gist of this is NOOOOO ARE YOU INSANE???

we'll thats what i have you guys for thanks

anyway allright i'll just keep the stock ones, and buy some aftermarket ones, even if you buy aftermarket black rims, are there any reason to powdercoat them? i thought the look of a powdercoat was really cool, becuase it was full black.

Thanks for the input everyone

I picked up a set of 19" 2LT rims - chromed - and brand spanking new Pirellis for $1000 to replace my 1LS Heritage Wheels. I guess it was a "distressed sale". I think I got a great deal.

Black powder coating is really nice... I hope to get mine done one day. I just have a hard time finding the time. My car is a daily driver and it takes a week or so to get them back.

My suggestion is either buy black aftermarket wheels or get your aftermarket wheels powder coated before you ever put them on your car.

Are you saying that you want to buy aftermarket rims that are already black, and then powdercoat them black?

Well, I guess you could, although I don't know why you would. I think most good aftermarket black wheels look great as is. You can get either matte or gloss black, so I'm not sure what the point of powdercoating them would be.

Powdercoating looks just like paint. If your wanting the flat black like the factory stripes, that is called matte black and can be done with paint or powdercoat. You can get powder coat in pretty much any finish you want. Think of it as a thick baked on paint. My wheels are the matte black 22" replica wheels from BFXenon on here. They look exactly like the factory 20"s but they are bigger. Plus, they are VERY reasonably priced. I have right at $2000 in the wheels and tires and got a set of drag radials for the stock wheels when I want to go to the track. Yeah the forged wheels are nice and cost more but if it is your daily driver and your not going to race or just want somthing that looks good on the street, dont feel bad about buying a set of cheaper wheels.

The 21inch tires for the official GM Camaro wheels are like $400-450 a pop, and they wear out FAST. So unless you feel like paying $1500+ on tires every 10 months or so stay away.

And for the price of $4800, you can get some high quality wheels+good tires(that one that last a lot longer than the GM 21 tires and cost less than $250 a pop, lol)

It really takes a tremendous pair to mark up prices the way these dealerships do.
