i have well over $60,000 invested in mine .
i notice that too about this forum everybody seems to get amazing prices/deals yet disregard things like labor, tax, etc. just be honest and say how much it really costs

as for OP if you already have doubts don't put your hard earned money into it. god forbid you get it and it gives you problems especially with mods. why would you want somebody's mods anyway, get a stock one and build it specifically how you want it. even if it ends up costing you a little more it really will be worth it to have your OWN camaro that you can take care of

In general, a modded car is 'worth' less than a factory car because of it's limited appeal to buyers. I will agree that if the OP was planning on doing the exact same mods as this car has done to it, it could be a deal for him. However, to tell someone to 'jump on it' just because of price is a big stretch. $30,000 isn't "measly" to most people.

Also, there have been plenty of cases which show a non-modded car has had some type of failure. So sure, while many hold up to mods, others don't and you're taking a big gamble buying a modded car from an unknown source.
its a $38,000 car so add 15k to that. i guess you would like to take a big loss ? and it was modded by a known performance shop !

You are better off getting a used Camaro and having AA Speed in Woodbridge put the moods on it you want. Use to spend a lot of money at that shop 10 to 20 years ago when I lived in Woodbridge.

If I traded in (sold/whatever) a car I put $15,000 worth of mods to I would NOT be expecting to get a dollar for dollar value out of it. I would like frogs to have wings so they wouldn't land on their butt every time they hopped, but we can't always get what we would like. Just because it was modded by a known shop doesn't change the fact that you're still taking a risk purchasing it.

Hello & Welcome,

its a big risk at this stage, your out in the cold on your warranty (!), that's one factor, two you should do it your self (MOD), no, you won't save $$........, but a peace of mind !
Get one stock & build it once the warranty expires then you'll have all that extra money you saved on the mod you want !, plus it might be cheaper to (MOD) down the road (just a thought).
Plz understand this is my opinion, nothing less/more.
Good luck, hope to see your new Camaro soon.

The all new Convertible !, Welcome to the Fleet !

You can order a 2011 2SS/RS LS3 (only option is RS) for $35k. I would buy a new one and do the mods yourself.

Or you can find a used one for around $30k...

Don't know what your emission rules are but with all the other work done on that car just adding cats back on wont let it pass a smog test IMHO.

we are talking about practicaly brand new 2ssrs w/ practicaly new parts , a totally upgraded valvetrain say $1500 , harmonic balancer ,probably the $1800 prem headers, $800 new axle back, $400 CAI, a $600 dyno tune. if there were a car like this avalable when i bought mine when they just came out i could have a bad ass in ground salt water swimming pool in my back yard and a modded 2ssrs with just a few more dollars.

And if their was a major issue with the engine it's $5k-$9k to fix. Are you willing to take close to a $10k chance on this car?

How many would?

there are many here with not much of a warranty here and i for one have put mine to the test w/cam,dod delete, upgraded valvetrain, ported heads, maggie, headers and have had no issues and have not heard of much more than half shaft issues on the m6. i know for a fact the hp bug is an epidemic that curses us addicts, and im very sure someone else will give up warranty for more performance. a gear head could save a wad of cash on that car.

Considering I actually *bought* a stock 2010 2ssrs w/ 8k miles in May for $30100+tax, i don't think i can be THAT far off

Your assumptions are that this car has the same quality mods as yours, and that mods increase the value of the car... Highly unlikely given the rep of the dealer. And has been said already, mods actually DECREASE the value on the open market. Sorry if you don't like hearing that, but as you said, you don't do mods to increase your cars value, you do it because you're a gear head addicted to HP
