I think it's more of a security issue like ease of making a profile/verification. The admins are removing them fairly quickly. Also if we do our parts and report them, admin remove them faster. There's literally one or two of the dating ones a day. All new user names as well.

Oh the irony...

We are trying, and I've spent over 4 hours in the last three days, deleting the accounts of over 500 spammers, by user name, like pharmacy..., or viagra, or..... There are thousands more but it takes a lot of time...

I'm a member that was also asked to be a mod.... I would certainly like to come visit and enjoy it, but we gotta put up with spammers and complaints... Which would you prefer we tend to??? We are after all, all volunteers with a love of Camaros...

I would enjoy not having to worry about it, but we do....Feel free to report the posts you see, or not... Your choice... And I moved this to the proper forum, without penalty...

Again, I'd like to say THANKS to you guys for what you do to try to keep the forums clean as you possibly can. And I'm sure, as you stated, it's a never ending and time consuming battle for you all!! I always try to do my part for you folks.. Thanks..

Do you guys need help on the other side of the board? I’m a mod on another vbulletin based site and happy to help.

I’ve been reporting this stuff every time i see it. I know on the other site I mod on the admins have told us that a lot of the recent spam stuff is AI generated and really hard to get a handle on.

Damn, dude, thank you!

I had no idea it was actually that bad. I see them from time to time, but never at the level you mentioned. Just shows that you guys are trying to keep it under control.
