Need a new key!
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone could tell me how to go about ordering a new key for my camaro....? Lost mine recently...hasn't turned up anywhere, so now I'm using my spare and need to buy a second key god forbid I lose one again...anyone know for sure where I can get one and if they need programming or anything? Sean

the dealership can get you one.. be prepaird to pay a good chunk of change for it though.

yea i figured it was gunna cost a bunch, just wanted to avoid going to the dealers haha. o well, might as well get it over with

I had the same Key on my Audi and it cost me just a shade under $500 for the Key, cutting and programming. Haven't inquired on the Camaro but the system is similar so I'd bet it will be close to or equally expensive. Good luck. Hope you find the original

The key/fob costs around $60. Most dealers can't cut those style keys (lazer cut) so they order them already cut for your vehicle. Dealers also charge to program it.

Save yourself the programming fee and program it yourself

ok dont listen to anyone here go to dealership only cost 55 for key to be cut and sent from i think texas, then they charged me 50 for programming took them 15 mins and i was out. its worth it just do it and go there!!!!

ye will cost about 60ish to order it precut to you vehicle, you need to have your Vin # so they can cut it to match the vehicle. if you go to the link earlier in the the thread there is an explanation I posted on here about a year ago on how to program it youself.
