That V8 Mustang can propel from 0-60 in about 5 seconds flat....that is pretty impressive for 315 horsepower.

What will the SS do the 0-60 in?

What does "about" mean? +/-1 second?

I have read 5.0 or 5.1 seconds for the Mustang...will the Camaro SS beat that? If it does, it sure can't be by much...

I wonder if the Mustang will have production delays too? The HP is pretty weak but since it weighs significantly less than the Camaro their performance figures will be fairly close. Look at the SRT8 Challenger lots of HP but fat as hell, so it wallows through any slalom course and the 0-60 isn't all that great for 400+ HP.

The engineers have already acheived 4.6s 0-60 in the SS manual, there is pontential for better. So yes it will and that is quite a big difference.

Ugh, the mustang looks nice, but I would never buy a vehicle from Ford. I'm not impressed with any of their vehicles. I'll stick with GM and foreign vehicles. The mustang is a joke, I laughed my head off when my brother bought one a few months ago.

Gotta disagree, the new Altima's still have more bang for the buck, though it's not meant to contend with the Mustang or the Camaro. Oh well, matter of opinion. I just don't like Fords vehicles.

And my Camaro that is on order will be even better when I actually get it.

why don't you like Ford ? I have a uncle who hates Ford too, he wouldn't buy the new GM truck because he said it looked like a Ford so he bought a used one.

I like Ford I like Chevy I have no allegiance to one or the other.
