I've gone from selling my rims

to keeping them, only to keep going back to these 22"s. I read and re-read and only get more confused. I have researched some information regarding tire sizes from various sources and end up once again, with varying opinions. The choices are Front 265/35R22 and Rear 285/35R22 or 265/30R22 etc. I've seen pics of these tires and without a drop they really do not look good. That coupled with my fear of hitting a pot hole and blowing the tire to shreds (NJ roads) is another negative. Since there are members who run 22's I'm hoping to be steered in the right direction. I just want to put the tires and rims on and turn the key. If I have to lower, raise, or do anything else to the car I need to know. The gap in the photo looks to big and the tires themselves are actually a 1/2 taller than my 21's. Optical illusion? The pics were purposely blown up to show the gap. I just don't get how a tire which is around 29" overall presents a gap like that. The tire/rim combos are just different styles of the rim I was thinking of getting.

I know we all have our own tastes, but those look awful. I think anything bigger than 21's doesn't look good on the car.

Listen to your gut...

Those 21's you have on your car now are killer! I wouldn't get rid of those at all if I were you. JMO.

Neither of those look like A 35 series tire. You sure they are?
look more like 30 to me. Which would explain the gap.

I'm running 265/35ZR22 Goodyears on all 4 corners on my 22s. Potholes are always on my mind, but they aren't as bad as 30 series or even 25 series. I never thought I'd get use to such a short sidewall, but hey, I remember when people thought putting 20s under a car was criminal!!

That is the reason for a lot of the gap.

These are 265/35/22 before I lowered my car.

After lowering.

Stick with the rims you've got. I think they look awesome and go with your camaro very well!

You should get the machine face/black wheels, and send those hideous yellow wheels to my house immediately! I can't believe you actually go out in public with your car looking like that.....
