Hmm...well when my rear backup camera comes in, I'll have to take it out again and see if I can find a way to fix it. Maybe i have some bare wire touching metal somewhere

Installed PAC kit and Ken wood unit...

Yeah the turn signal chime is much lower. But all honesty I don't mind. I kind of wonder if maybe I should have set the chime to low before I removed the stock hu. Maybe that's why it's so loud.

What I did was put a piece of electric tape over it and hid it under the hu in the dash.

Can still hear it. But the neighbors can no longer hear it lol

I still wish we had a better explanation of why this worked in one port and not the other. The difference is insane !!

Also does anyone know what kind of watts this stock amp is pushing?

Would be nice to know if we can just swap out the crappy stock speakers for something better and still push em.

Would save money and time.

245w PEAK meaning roughly 122wRms. Divide that by 9 speakers you get 13.7wRms to each speaker 28w peak each.

nope. its divided that way. i amped my stock door speakers and drove 100wRms to them for weeks. still work. full range. they canhandle more power but wont be perfect. they are meh.

i just listed Type R components for sale. would be great on the aftermarket setups

This might be a dumb question, but i'll ask it anyways.

I was going to get the FARK kit when I install my 4 channel amp. I'm just going to use it to power my aftermarket speakers and I have no plans of getting subs.

Since I'm not getting subs, would I be able to make the amp work with my speakers with only the X2 harness? Or would I need to get both the X2 and X3 RCA harness? I guess what I'm really asking is, what is the purpose of the RCA cables and do I need them if i'm just wiring my speakers using the FARK X2 harness?

I could be wrong...but if your amp supports high level inputs then you won't be needing the rca at all.

The rca is fixed level outputs... though not super sure on the harness

Thanks for this thread, guys. I brought my car in for them to fix a setting and they plugged it in wrong when they put it back together. I've been annoyed for weeks driving around with the volume that way. lol. Easy fix!

9 speakers on the factory BA system? That's odd I count maybe 7. Anyone have all locations and sizes?
