I am using the same TVS2300 blower on my LPE 417, I know what you are saying, but making that statement on big boost with nitrous is just not the same. The stock internals cars could only do that on the 4th of July and be part of the fireworks display......

You have a awesome car any 9 second Gen 5 Camaro is a big achievement. Just takes a good builder and lot of money that's all.

All very good points. It doesn't appear there is a right or wrong answer. Everyone has very valid points and this is a never ending debate so before pissing anyone off I'm done making comments. My car will end up wherever it ends up. It doesn't really matter except so conversation.

So I leave you all with this: As it stands today, I am number one on the list my car fits in so you can all just suck my big.......

so does manual get their own list LoL
seriously though can we
I see manual shift cars run 9s and faster all the time down here. It is harder to do than with an automatic car but I am sure it will be done this year. We already have a lot of lists on here, we just got to step up and get more stick cars putting down some better ETs.

It's never going to happen in a 4200 lb 5th gen. Just because people do it NO one has done it with our cars. You'll need at least 850 rwhp to get a 9.99. We went through this with Teds first YSI car. 805 rwhp, every available drag specific part available, professional 24 year old driver, yada, yada, yada. Even with low 1.5 60's it wouldn't go faster than low 10's. Took the Turbo 400 to push it into the 9's.

I hope one of you guys can do it, I just don't want to see your attempt go for not.

Come on build some faith, we are Camaro enthusiasts right? I am right at 800 RWHP and have not ran the car near its potential so far. The car weights 4100 lbs with me in it and my best has been a 10.54 with a 1.65 60' at 134 mph pulling out like I was leaving from a stop light. That was with belt slip on only 12 psi. The car has trapped 139 on 15 PSI. Just need some help from people like you, more time in the car and maybe a 75 shot of nitrous at the worst. I am going to give it a shot this year, who knows it might happen.

I'm no help. I'm an idiot. I just push the pedal down and go for a ride. The only thing I can offer is lots of experience with these cars, especially the auto, only because we started when the car came out and learned with it.

All I know is I've never ran a 9, and now I've made 30 9 second passes, without a 1.4x 60'.

What's your 1/8 th info?

I've only had about 6 or 8 real passes on the car and every track close has closed down for the winter. Heck i'm old it took be 4 or 5 passes just to catch up to the 3.89 gear and the 200 extra horsepower LOL. The 1/8th is not worth crap but improving. I have the belt slip worked out I think, I think the car has close to a 9 in it now but yes probably will need another few horsepower. If I can get used to it and get a decent 60 it will get close anyway. Here are 2 of the 10.54 passes the top one is my second pass on 15 PSI and the bottom was my last pass at 12 PSI a couple of weeks later. Lets drop the auto/stick thing and you can pretend my 60 just suck.

On 15 PSI

On 12 PSI that is why my MPH is down here.....

Close to a 9... I've never gotten a slip that said "hey, you almost made it!!"

I'd spend the next few track visits working on the 1/8th. It's so critical. And your 1/8th, lets be honest, sucks.

A 6.3xx will get you into the 9's. You just need some more seat time before anything can be truthfully stated. What have you been doing for the last 3 years!!

I guess everyone can't get to the track every wk like some others.

Oh yea I know I need to do that for sure the car picks up right at 34MPH from the 1/8 to the 1/4 so that is definitely not the problem. If I can pickup .15 or .2 in the 60 where do you think that will put the car at the 1/8?

My car is a RPO car VIN 12,2XX and i have been running 10.9Xs on a stock bottom end with 616 RWHP on drag radials and driving the crap out of the car since I got it. I already have 38,000 miles on it LOL

Nope they don't do that here in the winter, but then again we don't have big snow plows here either.......

I can't really say what your 60' improvement will translate into the the 1/8th. You could leave hard but spin on the shifts and kill your 1/8th. That's my problem now. It seems like every 50 rwhp brings another set of problems to solve.

I just state the numbers I see on my slips. The slowest 9 second pass was the 9.98 last April. It had a 1.44 60' which led to a 6.37777 1/8th. I forgot the mph. The 9.81 I think was a 1.47 60' with a 6.31.

I think Atco will open again in a few wks if its 40 but I'm not really ready. I need to add a few things. My goal is the IRS race in Feb. I hope to have all the parts on by then. Maybe not dialed in to a 9.60 but at least bolted on. Plus I may start the year on a 16" drag radial.

That's pretty gd on miles. I just rolled 16k since 8/09. And that was with let others use it.

Once the 1LE cars start posting time slips, 1LE list's will be added. Most likely Bone Stock, with bolt on's and bolt on's with internals.
