My first police encounter with my new car - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

This morning driving into work I had my first brush-in with the long arm of the law... and basically at the end of the long arm was a raised thumb.

We were sitting at a traffic light he honked his horn and told me to roll down the window...

State trooper: Is that the RJT?
me: yes it is.
State trooper: nice color.
me: yes I do love it.
State trooper: Is that the SS or the RS?
me: just the RS
State trooper: nothing wrong with that it has 304hp!
me: yes it is sure fun to drive and thank you I'll have to tell my buddies about this very pleasurable run in.
traffic Light: I'm green so you better go now.

Just the rs would looke funny with a set of HIDs and some roof ditch molding sitting in the road.

The question he asked did not make sense..... He should have asked is that a SS or a LS/LT. RS Can be SS or LS/LT

I'm thinking he saw the "a" red badge but wasn't sure if it was the SS or RS badge.

I keep worrying that I'll have a conversation like that, and the cop will ask "So, how fast does she go?"

And I'll break eye contact and say "no faster than speed limits and safe driving practices permit, sir."

This whole time i was thinking "why the heck would the cop tell you that he is green"? I guess I should

carefully next time
