My first run at Z-Max w/ the new ride.

O.k. guys and gals. This was my mayden trip to Z-Max w/ the new 2SS/RS. With the ambient temp at 92+ and humidity at about 85%, I was pretty happy with the results. Traction was at a minimum, but none the less, it was a blast.

He missed 2nd. It's an M5, with the V10. We were pretty much neck and neck all night. However, in my book.... miss a gear = OWNED!

You have street tires? You should not do burnouts on the Pirelli's to get traction. This
will not help you at all. Great run and times!!!! The M6's sure are not down on power.
With a better launch your 1/4 time could be in the 12's. What was your 60' time?

My best 60' was a 2.01, but that was on an incomplete run. I went to grab second and the clutch pedal was only about 3" off the mat. On that run, I think it was a 2.3. I'll have to check the slip to be sure. I have to disagree about not warming up the Pirelli's. I tried both ways, and they hooked much better with some heat in them.

We will just have to agree to disagree on the burnout. I've always driven around the water box otherwise you can drag water all over the track. Either way you did a nice job. Your car is very healthy.

Thanks. That's why I back just into the edge of the water and drive it out to be sure no water is left on. Either way, I was just glad to be back looking at the tree.

When people miss second they end up in neutral revving the hell out of the engine. It is sad... usually when someone is trying to shift too fast.

Yeah, if you listen to the video closely. You can tell that's what happened.

Again, I will have to disagree. We were back and forth all night long. On that run I had him out of the gate and typically, that made the difference.
