LPE news from the track - broken trans changed out - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

We ran the Lingenfelter LS9 Camaro again today (Saturday). Our 1st run was a 9.402 at 151.14 mph. On our second pass of the day we broke the factory GM Tremec 6 speed manual transmission on the 1-2 shift.

Luckily thanks to the guys at RPM Transmissions we had a spare transmission. The LPE crew had the transmission changed out in about an hour (great job guys) and the car is back up and running ready for tomorrow.

Thanks to Ted Jennetty for lending us the jack stands - we only brought two (oops).

Not very often you get to see Rodney bring a trans to the track and personally hand carry it your the car.

All hail LPE ..... You can do it Johnnie. You have the trans to SLAM the gears now!
