Thank You from NMCA

The NMCA would like to extend a very big thank you to the entire Camaro5.com community for its support of the 4th Annual GM Performance Parts LSX Shootout, presented by GM High-Tech Performance. This year's event was a HUGE success and the NMCA owes it all to the awesome racers, car show participants, sponsors, vendors and fans. The addition of the Camaro Performers 5th Gen Camaro Challenge class was a huge hit with some of the coolest and fastest 5th gens on the planet coming out to compete. Congratulations to Corey Duckett and his beautiful family for their 5th Gen Camaro Challenge class win and to Jon Ebert for winning the 5th Gen Heads-Up Camaro Shootout.

A BIG congratulations to Guillermo Garcia with Camaro5.com for winning the 2010 LSX Shootout Ambassador of the Year award. Thanks Guillermo for ALL of your support...you deserve it.

NMCA also appreciates all of the 5th gens that came out to compete in the Camaro5.com 5th Gen Camaro Car Show class. There were an abundance of 5th gen Camaros showing off for the fans with Jeff Mayes taking the Camaro5.com Best of Show award.

The LS competitors put on the show and you ALL deserve to be recognized first. Thanks for helping NMCA showcase the best in LS performance. NMCA also appreciates the loyalty and continued support from GM Performance Parts (Dr. Jamie, Cliff, Jason, Bill and the whole team), Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center (Nicky, Marty, Keith, Tim and the whole team), and GM High-Tech Performance (Scott and Justin), Edelbrock (our series sponsor)...thanks guys for sticking with us since 2007.

Thank you to all the major media that came out to cover the shootout to showcase the incredible action the LS racers brought to St. Louis. Thanks again to GM High-Tech Performance, Camaro Performers (Nick and Steve), Camaro5.com (Guillermo Garcia, this year's LSX Shootout Ambassador of the Year, and the whole community), LS1Tech.com (the whole community), LSXTV.com (Eric and Mark), and Rochester Racing (Matt)...we all appreciate the coverage you give the Shootout.

NMCA would also like to thank our class sponsors...JE Pistons (Drag Radial), ERL Performance (All Motor), Proform (LSX Rumble), Camaro Performers (5th Gen Class), GM High-Tech Performance (5th Gen Heads-Up Shootout), and TREMEC (LSX True Street). We also appreciate all our the LSX vendors who come out to support and provide the best services possible to our LS racers and fans: GM Performance Parts, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center, Lingenfelter, Livernois, BMR, Jannetty Racing, Precision Turbo, BRP Hot Rods, Car Shop, SAM, Hendrix Engineering, Burkhart Chassis, 417 Motorsports, Xtreme Innovations, ADM Performance, Mast Motorsports, New Era Performance, JE Pistons, ERL Performance, and Proform.

Sincerely,

Steve Wolcott

Thanks for putting on a great event! My family and I had a blast! My 2 daughters enjoyed helping with car and feeling like part of the action getting to go on the Tremec cruise and riding to the staging lanes. It was an experince my family will never forget!

Thanks Steve! It is a very special honor. I wish I could've been there but I have yet to find out how to be in 2 places at once.

I don't know what to say ...

We had to spectate from home, but it was exciting to see Edgar Perez (Redgar) take his class for the year. Have been one of his sponsors for years and have watched him come from a T&T driver, to become a Champion through his dedication to & participation in the Corvette Challenge series.

Just keep this thing growing! Your drawing in the spectators & fans, something we can't do with even the biggest bracket races.

The Meaning of Ambassador of the Year

The distinction of "LSX Shootout Ambassador of the Year" is a person who went above and beyond to help promote, grow and nurture LS performance. Guillermo Garcia was the NMCA's overwhelming choice for this award. With the return of the all-new Camaro, the NMCA wanted to showcase this modern hot rod on the track and in the show. Guillermo welcomed this concept and helped bring NMCA to the Camaro5.com community. He promoted the LSX Shootout and encouraged the 5th gen community to support and embrace the 2010 LSX Shootout. NMCA did not know what to expect as far as 5th gen turnout and we were blown away by the number of race and show cars.

Thank you again G!

Steve
