Can't start in 2nd? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have skip shift tuned out. With the car idling I can't shift into second gear. I can go first..second with no problem.
I am just thinking I have some sort of skip shift solenoid issue. Can the solenoid be removed or unplugged? Any other ideals??

Even weirder is...With the car shut off, I can shift strait to second and all other gears. With the car running I can't shift strait to second or third. It will run through all the gears running down the road just fine. Down shifting from 6-1 is perfect. I can leave it in 2nd and take off. If I stop and try to shift into second, it feels locked out.

I had that problem I had the slp skipshift installed wrong. I couldn't start off in 2nd. And reverse was had to get into. All worked perfect w. The car off. The main problem was the skipshift was installed wrong. I switched the wiring and all good now. If you have a skipshift check out the wiring.

Hey thanks for the input....I just jacked up the car and checked the wiring, and sure as shit the wires were on backwards. Had the skip shift plugged into the reverse lockout solenoid.

Works like butter now, Just wanted to give credit were credit was due
