Yes but how did you do that with just the shifter trim removed? I can’t even see the wires with the trim removed, the cigarette socket is a few inches away and there’s no way that I can see to get to it with the small opening that is allowed. Do you remember how you were able to reach that far away to get the cigarette lighter lines?

This might be kinda late but im doing something similar to power my dash cam. Im running a hardwire kit that goes from the mini USB to the fuse box so I can plug my dash cam in without taking up an outlet.
They have these hardwire kits that also just come out to 1 or 2 female USB ports so you could just mount that anywhere you wanted.
