giving up on my 2ss/rs

I hate to start something, but I have been reading posts on here for a long time. And, I looked a four camaros in my area this week. Everyone of them had one of the problems that I've read about on here. I've been waiting along time to get my yellow 2ss/rs, but that is just too much money to put out to get a subpar car. I will give her up tommorrow for a shelby gt 500. I know they cost more ,but they are not bankrupt and making subpar cars with a flashing look just to stay alive.

There are a lot more posts with people saying how great their cars are. There are a few cases of cars not being perfect. It's the first model year. What do you expect?

The GT500 is a good car. I'm not going to flame you for buying American, Ford, or any other car. I respect all cars.

You are, however, deserving of some serious blame. Without being offensive or rude, I feel compelled to point out that you represent the unimpressive average buyer with your posted opinion. Being on Camaro5, you should know better than non-members that most people are scared of bankruptcy. We've posted a lot of poll results that prove it. Moreover, you should know that bankruptcy is not the end of GM. It does not even represent a lower standard of performance, quality, or reliability. Your failure to produce a GM product, especially when you want one, represents a failure on your part to support the company you want to succeed.

In other words, it is partially your fault if GM fails in the future because you did not buy a GM product because you were afraid to buy from a bankrupt company. How did I come to this conclusion? You used the b-word in your original post as if it made a difference to GM's products.

As I stated earlier, the Camaro is in its first model year. As a result, there will be some kinks. Most buyers could not be happier with their superior pony cars. I hope you like that inferior Ford suspension.

At the end of the day, the most important thing is how happy you are with your car. It would make sense for you to be happy with a fast domestic, but I'm under the impression that you're settling for a GT500 because you have concerns about the car you really want. You need a test drive before you make this decision. I'm hoping that a neighboring Camaro5 member will live up to my challenge to give you a test drive so that you can feel how great the Camaro is. If you always wanted a GT500, I'm fairly certain that you would not be on Camaro5.

In summary, the Camaro is not sub-par, so never say that again; the GT500 might be settling, so you might never be happy with it; and GM's bankruptcy is not affecting it's industry-leading quality ratings.

I'm not afraid of buying from a bankrupt company. I think you missed my point. I think because of this the car is not getting the start that it might have. I just bought my wife a g8 gxp and it is a great car. I was hoping for the same out of the camaro. To be honest I would'nt have never gave up on the camaro if it wasn't for this sight. I own a service fleet of all chevy and one dodge. They have all been very good to me and I will still buy chevy trucks.

Well,

thanks for enlightening us on your decision.

Looks like you've made up your mind. Not much more to discuss here.
