Question I may be screwed!

I went out this morning to do some errands. When I started up my Camaro and turned on the AC I heard a clunk. I left the car running and looked under the hood and saw nothing going on.
So off I went to my first destination, which happened to be across from the Chevy dealer that I purchased the car from. As I pulled up to the intersection, the display read "hi temperature please idle engine" or something like that.
Anyhow, I immediately pulled right into my dealers service bays, which were only about 50 yard from my location, and shut the car down. This dealers service dept is open 7 days a week.
We opened the hood and saw a hose on the left side of the engine leaking antifreeze. So it looks like it may be a bad hose.
The problem I am concerned about, is that I have a Jannetty mail order tune, and didn't set it back to stock before bringing it in. It all happened so fast and now they have my car.
Am I screwed???

Opinions please.

probably not. a hose has got nothing to do with a tune. like they say tho, it all depends on the service manager.

Even if you did flash it back the can tell the car had been tuned by the ECM flash count. So just hope the service manager is cool. I would not say anything about the tune since they probably have no reason to check the ECM at this point.

You heard a clunk.

I'm guessing it's more than just a hose.

Something had to hit, rip, or tear that hose for you to have heard it at startup.

Did the AC work? Could have broke the belt off of it and hit the hose. Those belts are pretty tight. But then you'd need to know why the belt broke. Maybe something hit it while driving and it broke at startup.

Good news is that it's just the AC so far. I can't see how a tune could hurt that. You'll be fine.

They have no reason to check your tune, don't worry about it. The techs get paid to work on yOur car. They do not get paid when they aren't working. Snooping around and looking to see if you have a tune doesnt pay the bills. If the general doesn't ask then I don't look.

Thanks for the feedback!
I told them about the clunk, I will call in the AM and remind them about it.
Now I am wondering if my mechanic left something under the hood on Friday. I had an oil change done and my new Pedders end links installed.
I wish I would have thought of that earlier today, I would have investigated further.

That's only if the programmer resets the counters. I'm unaware if SCT does but I know that DSP does not reset the flash counter.

Brian I don't know much about ECM's but what does the counter do? Is it better to have it reset the counter or not?

Doesnt' matter. If they want to know, they can find out.

According to the bulletin, they should only be checking the calibration if there is an internal engine or trans failure, or cat converter problem. So, if it's just hoses and A/C issues, they shouldn't be messing with or checking the tuning. I'd just let them dig into it and see what they say, I wouldn't think there will be a problem.

So you tune LS* powered cars?

I can confidently say GM will know. Unless you believe otherwise.

Deductive reasoning is all I need to know. Good enough for me.

Ok, good news!
I got my car back and it was just a hose. They didn't charge me and didn't say anything about my mods, except for how much they loved what I did with the car. Sweet!
I don't know what the clunk was, but I am assuming that the mechanic that did the oil change left a tool or something on the engine when he changed the oil on Friday.

Anyhow, all's well that ends well :-)
Thanks for the input.
Rob
