Exclamation Trunk won't open!

Please help, remote trunk release (button or key fob) has been intermittent for almost a year. Now I can't use the key either (key hole in the back seat). I've tried both keys that used to work.

2012 2SS/RS Vert.

Is there some secret to getting the trunk open? Is it possible to get to the latch in the trunk without cutting the water bag?

I assume the fobs still work to unlock the car though, right? Check the fuse for the trunk release, if that isnt it then the solenoid is either bad or something has jammed the release.
Sounds like a trip to the dealer may be in order then.

Ut oh i just looked it up and it looks like the trunk fuse is located in all places THE TRUNK! Dumb place to put it..,

Drove to the dealership...and pushed the release button on the door for fun...and it opened! Only once, after that the key hole in the back seat worked though. No one has any idea why it would completely freeze up for over a week...then start working. Now the power release (fob or button) works ocassionally.

Mine did this and apparently the problem was right there in front of me. My wife had put to much stuff in my trunk and upon closing the trunk it had pinched the wires on the right hand side to the trunk eventually cutting them.

Trunks are pretty deep. What did she put in there? A motorcyle?
