Tonneau cover install
I finally got a good deal on a tonneau for my 2LT. Pretty crappy GM decided to not leave it as standard equipment on a 2LT in 2015. Anyway, how does a guy with arthritis and a bad back get those stupid little bungy cords in place? My hands and fingers aren't that flexible anymore.

Might try something to 'hook' the bungee and slide it over the post. Might have to make something like a rod that is curved back under on one end and with a tee handle on the other. Kinda like a hay hook.

It's important to use your right hand on the left side and left hand on the right side.
Shouldn't affect your back or your fingers. Just don't try driving it without the bungees attached or you won't have it very long.

Since it's been a while...
Did GM make a modification to the design of the tonneau cover on 2014-15 models to prevent it from flying off?

Even though my 13 has the bungee straps mine would still come loose. A simple mod I found really works. I added a strip of Velcro to the flap that fold down behind the back seat. I see some sew the Velcro on but I just used contact cement. This holds it in solid so I no longer have to watch for it coming loose in the rearview mirror.

I would only use tonneau cover for car shows, I don't take Camaro on highways/freeways so not needed while I drive.

Google "ball knot paracord" ...make those and attach to the end of the elastic straps so your arthritic hands can put tension on the straps to secure them. If your arthritis is too severe for that use paracord or something similar to make a monkey fist around a golf ball (not you, but someone without arthritis can make them). If I remember correctly it takes about 10 wraps to cover a golf ball, I think that will still fit in the well.

Just take a hair band and tie it thru the little bungee. use the hair band to pull the little bungee around the post. That way you're pulling on the hair band and not he little bungee cord.
