Just picked up my silver LT. First time to even get close to one. Man, what an experience! It feels nothing like my 69's or 77. My wife described being inside like sitting in a submarine. My son said it felt like he was in the Batmobile.....maybe I do too. You can't believe how hard it is to keep the RPM's under 4000....don't need to go higher, but you sure want to. I put all of 96 miles on it and I already feel like I'm part of the car. Got it at Covert in Bastrop....great people. Pat Marshal, my sales rep, called me at 2pm and said it just came in, but if wanted to pick it up this evening he would have it ready.....if...IF?

I put another 200 miles on my three day old LT. Went out 2222 in Austin to 620 -north and then lefonto Anderson Lane and then hit a left on 1431 to the Hillcountry. What a sweet drive....no one in front and a two lane twisty, curvy highway with hairpin curves and great hill country peaks and valleys. Hit 45mph curves at 60 and came out at 70...the car just hungs the road and sticks to the road like glue. We have got to have an Austin rally.
