Personally, there is nothing wrong with being and "underdog".
I went through this in my Cobalt about a year ago. I have the older SC and the newer turbos came out. I liked the car for how cheap it really was (18.5 new) but wanted the easy power (Turbos gain 50-60 whp with just a tune, my sc has only gained 30 with much more than that). Fact is, you have a very nice looking and quick car. It's unique and cheap for the car that you get! I'd enjoy it and be happy! |

listed my v6 on ebay for 32k OBO, we will see what happens, im paid cash for the car, so i would be financing 10k extra for the SS if in deed i sell it.

Great part of AZ is that if we trade in they subtract the value of the trade from the value of the new car and you pay tax on the difference. I know that in CA they charge the full amount of tax regardless of the rest of the transaction.

A used 1LT for $32,0000? A loaded 2LT RS Automatic with all the options is going for $29,900 brand new. Hope it goes well for you.

the msrp of the 1lt is $25k, Plus BLuetooth package 19" ploished chrome rims, speaker system
it came to $27,850. Then, you add $500 for Markup at the time, and taxe liscense registration dealer fees. it came to $31,860 Now, if it is in such high demand ? why cant i get $240 out of it? lol |

I personally was on the fence for some time between the V6 and the V8.
Performance is important to me, but at this point in my life creature comforts and looks are first. Before I set out to buy this car I had a budget of about $30,000, so it was either the 1SS bare or the 2LT with all the trimmings. I chose the V6 2LT because I absolutely had to have leather seats and all the gadgets. However I’m no stranger to performance, I’ve owned three Camaros one of them a Z28 (that happens to be just as fast as the new V6) and two corvette convertibles which were very fast. What I’m trying to say is that you got to draw the line somewhere and realize that no matter how fast your car is chances are that there will be someone out there with a faster one. Bottom line is who cares what other people think! What’s important to you? That’s the question! If speed is the only important thing to you then get the SS! By the way I’m available for therapy sessions between 8-5 pm.

I say keep it. I know it doesnt have as much power as the 8 but think of how much gas is gonna end up costing soon. V6 - Regular gas V8 - Premium gas V6 - Better mpg V8 - Worse mpg Really its up to how you feel if you want one go get one before you cant sell it for the same price, if not more. I know im happy with my 1LT/RS What exactly dont you like about you 6 that the 8 has other than power?

Also, the people who are buying it would have to pay taxes and new registration for the car, again. Hey, way to dodge the question by the way? What happened to going to SEMA and getting all that stuff for free?

I can tell you that we have both, The only + for the V8 is more HP. If you want to race get the V8. If you plan on driving the car like most normal people the extra HP isn't worth the extra cost. I think the V6 drive much better/smother ride. The V8 reminds me of riding in my truck. Don't get me wrong the V8 is nice to drive, but I wouldn't trade the V6 in for it. There are to many pro's to keep the V6. just my 2 cents. Good luck.
