I agree with you both. Not a problem at all and people abusing their cars would be all over the VIN spectrum.

EVERYTHING HAS A LIMIT!
Keep in mind that this board probably represent a small portion of 2010 Camaro owners.

I agree with "y'all" (no one else will get that ) on that. I am jsut saying it seems likely that it could be due to abuse. Not saying I know. Just speculation.

Isn't this car a performance car. It should be able to handle abuse I don't think the shafts that brok were on the guys who launch car at 6000 rpm every 30 seconds these cars all have rediculous low miles on them.

Crap my vin is 16904. Not to mention I'm sure 60 percent of owners baby tyhere cars mine as 900 miles and I've yet to burn out. I want to change oil first

So, we have 5 reports...out of how many Camaro5 members with SS manual?

Maybe there should be a poll:
- I have a V8 manual and my transmission has failed
- I have a V8 manual and my transmission has not failed

That would fix the issue of comparing 5 members to all Camaro owners.

Agreed. There's a small portion of people on this forum who actually have their Camaro's right now, and an even smaller portion of those people who have a manual SS.

This board does not represent everyone in the world currently owning the SS, but it does help point out a possible faulty VIN range if there is one.

Can we keep this list going? It's pretty obvious that if we're going to get any info on the VIN range, we're going to have to find it ourselves.

There are 15 or so on this thread : http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31598

My vin is13782.

Broke in competition mode popped clutch at 4200 RPM.
Fourth time using comp mode.

Too much energy. Too high an rpm. Also applies limited ABS to reduce wheel spin. This adds to stress on drive train.

You can get a good launch with traction control off and leave stability control on. It will keep you from getting sideways.
