2SS vs. 2LT?
Hi All
Newbie question I am purchasing a new Camaro - I am scheduled for test drive on Friday and plan to test 2LT vs 2SS I wanted to get your opinions - is it worth the extra $5K for the 2SS? Are there people that have regretted buying the 2LT with V6? I am thinking the V6 will have a ton of power - but the V8 is sure temping Sorry if this question has been asked somewhere else - I couldn't find anything close Thanks for your help |

there is no comparison to owning a 2SS, nothing wrong with a V6, but the 2SS is a totally awesome Camaro.

If you can afford the 2SS, get the 2SS and leave no room for regrets later. And if for some reason, you regret getting the 2SS, it will be a whole lot less expensive to trade down than trade up.

Personal preference...and aside from purchase price, you also have to consider insurance.

Honestly, every time i see a great looking camaro my jaw drops. If i then notice it is a V6 instead of a V8 it kind of lessens the effect.
Get the 2SS

From a 2LT owner's point of view, I have no regrets. The V6 has more power than I even need and the extra HP from the V8 will just be worthless to me. I wouldn't have turned down the 2SS either if it wasn't for the money though. Drive them both and choose. You won't regret anything because you'll still be getting a camaro.

Go with your heart. You probably already know which one want. Go for it!

Thanks everyone - I really appreciate all the feedback, there is a lot of good advice
I am pretty sure I want the V8, and I can afford it. I just wanted to see how people felt though and if there was any buyer's remorse after the fact $40K is a lot to throw down..lol |

Wonderfully Awful Idea

There are a few other differences than just "faster" so do a little research but both are great cars but both may not suite you. IMO it was more than worth it.

I agree with the others. Try them both out and see what fits you. Personally we went with the 2SS. As mentioned above, their is a trade off between the two. Do you want the extra power or do you want something fuel efficient. The 2SS is not cheap to keep fueled if you are going to be using it as a daily driver. Well that is if you want to use 93 octane which is all I have fueled with.
