Question Splash Gaurds

I have bought the splash guards for my CGM but now I am agonizing on whether it will mess with the lines of the car. Just want to take a poll on the subject and weigh the pros and cons.

yes they do mess with the lines of the car (a little) as you say but I am installing them on my car solely on the service they provide

Saw them a yellow SS/RS the other day, IMO they look horrible. Definitely not for me.

I ordered a set in raw black and will just temporarily tape them in place to see if I can tolerate how they look. Hopefully they look better in person than the photos I've seen. I'm also not going the paint them in hopes they look better in black. Painting them body color does not make them disappear and seems to mess with the body lines more than the contrasting black I think. I'm going to have to do something soon as I can see this car really kicks up a lot of junk onto the rear quarter panel gills.

What do you mean by 'raw black'? If you're talking about just the black, that is still painted on as, from what I've been told, it's impossible to get these in any type of primer or without any paint on them.

I'm going to take a picture with them on and off to see the difference and I'll post it.

Bummer, I assumed the black was just unpainted black plastic. I might need to shoot them in satin black if they are shiny black.

To me they look fine on my car and I can see how they protect the rockers and rear flanks. In winter they deflect the cinders and in summer the heated tar/asphalt that the tires throw.

No one has ever commented about having " Mud Flaps "

I wouldn't be without.

I actually have gotten several compliments on them. They do help cut down on road debris.

I just put them on my CGM and they look ok. I am going with a 305 tire in the back and I want the protection. I hadn't driven my car very much and already the lower side near the rocker panel didn't feel smooth from the kickback. Over time, it will "sand" the side of your car down to primer!

IMHO put them on I think they look good and do not mess up the lines of the car not to mention they do keep a lot of crap off the car.

I installed them on my car two weeks ago.

I have them on my Victory Red and they don't look to bad. It's better then having paint chips on the sides. My vehicle is my daily driver. I also went with a front bra for the winter I HAT PAINT CHIPS. They just look bad
