I'm really glad that I didn't order the GFX package... the SS looks great the way it does IMHO

So, in the end, I stand by my case on your dealer being an idiot for calling it a 'factory recall' when the factory doesn't install the ground effects.

It's also why you see half body color matched and half unpainted; it's up to the dealer and customer to decide that.
Pay attention, the ground effects is not recalled because the dealer installed it wrong!! It is recalled because the design is faulty in that there are no clips holding it firmly in place, only 3M tape which
won't handle the high pressure wind pushing on it for long periods of
time. If you had one in front of you then you would understand. The manufacturer of the GFX pkg has acknowledged this and redesigned the
mounting of the front piece. Which is NOT the fault of the dealer
installing the pkg.

I`m amazed that they thought just 3M tape would hold it. I mean that stuff is strong, but i don`t think it`s THAT strong

After seeing how much of the car is taken back apart to get the gfx color matched, I can't believe that they use 3M tape to attach the front. They should be nominated for a "Real Men of Genious" commercial.

I agree! The funny thing is, the front piece of the ground effects package is the only one of the three portions I like. It was something I really was thinking of adding somewhere down the road. But now, I think I'll wait to see how everyone's holds up?

On a side note, I LOVE Montana! I haven't been there since I was a kid visiting relatives, but still remember the BIG SKY COUNTRY...among other things! Beautiful....

If the wheel weights didn't give you a hint of their mind state, why would 3m tape be far off.

low blow?

Extra short leash... or rope, to hang yourself on?

Yes, you get extra troll points for having a mustang in your signature.

Unfair?

I wonder if that is "our" fault or yours?

And for the record I agree with your assessment. The 3M tape thing is dissapointing. But I'm sure they have some testing to substantiate the decision to use it... It was obviously a poor one.

We all agree that mistakes do happen right? Poor decisions will be made, and this won't be the last, "woops" on this car. Brand new car from the ground up will have problems.

Right?
