Texas Metal is one of my least favorite of the customization shows. I wonder how much weight that Camaro gained in that chop job. Carleton isn't shy about throwing steel at his builds.

My favorite show, while it was still around, was FantomWorks. A nice mixture of skilled people actually diagnosing and fixing all sorts of different cars from all eras with custom jobs mixed in. The LT4 twins, a 69 Chevelle and a 69 Camaro, complete with IRS were a real blast.

Yes I really liked FantomWorks too. I think he had a limit as to how new of a car he’d work on IIRC. With maybe a few exceptions I think he preferred to stay far away from anything with a computer lol

That build is totally impractical, real curious how it ended up in Nebraska? Wondering if it took sooo long the owner lost interest. There was a recent high Hp Tundra build from ProSpeed in Houston. The build took a little over a year ( if I remember correctly). There were many custom parts made right at the shop in house. It was a turbo charged 900 HP Tundra. He lost interest and within a week of him getting it it went up for sale, now it is in Massachusetts where some guy bought it just for kicks and it is up for sale again last I heard. I wonder if this would be a similar type of deal?

That is a lot of red. Toyota make a few models with the solid red interiors. My wife’s Camary XSE is all red!!! ( it does look nice) and we seem to like it just fine.

Not a good looking ride, inside or out.

The flaring of the rear quarter panels with the airbag suspension in the low position makes the back end look droopy and sagging.

Bitchin' is also one of my faves, but seriously? Almost every one of their cars is: new chassis (i.e., Art Morrison, et al stuff), never OEM suspension, Kindig door handles (hate those), shaved bumpers, LS swap into everything, engine bays that are nothing like OEM (but stunning!), custom interiors by Justin, custom exhaust, custom wheels, chrome or powdercoated everything underneath, and on and on!

I guess what I meant was many of them don’t lose the essence of the original car. Yes he does all that but unlike a lot of these other guys if the customer still wants the car to resemble the original factory design he’ll stay close to it.

I'm guessing that in this case, the owner was a fan of pimp mobile styling, at least for the interior. Might take a little while to find the next home for this one.

Yeah, I remember a guy with some late model German thing (all I remember it was was black) being incredulous that Short wouldn't work on his car.

And he absolutely would not have anything to do with aftermarket A/C systems (Vintage Air I assume?). He never said why to my knowledge but based on the tiny vents I see on auction cars I doubt they would be of much use in actual hot weather.
