Back on the dyno

So Tommy has the car back on the Dyno, he has never seen a car do this before. With tires rolling and the clutch pushed in idle is fine, release the clutch while in neutral and it bounces between 300 - 1500 rpm but, only when the tires are rolling. Performed learning for throttle and clutch, helped but, still has a slight bump in revs when clutch is released.

Be careful, may have freezing rain later tonight. Glad to hear that he is working on getting you dialed.

Thanks for the concern, it was 20 to 24 degrees driving from Seattle to Vancouver. There was ice on the front of the car when we arrived. The trip home was allot wetter but no ice thank God! But the Michelin tires are allot better than the stock Good Years!!! They should have used them at the ring!!

Tommy did his best to retune the car, but it still has a bit of throttle rev up when the clutch is released. But, he was able to increase the HP 20 to 25 from 1500 to 6400 rpm. The total on the mustang dyno was approx. 660 hp, engine rev limiter was raised to 6600. But the dyno sheet only goes up to 6400 rpm. From what I have been able to figure out that is approx. 760 rwhp on a dyno jet dyno.

The car just never stops pulling, man I love this car!!!

I've been looking at it and right off the bat I see he didn't use the data from Injector Dynamics for the ID850's. Those are the injectors you have right? The offsets and min pulse width and other things haven't even been touched. That's the reason the ID850's cost what they do. Because they've done all the R and D to get the proper data and then they provide to you to use in the tune.

I asked him, he said that he had updated it with the 850ID settings. So now what do I do? Does it have to be updated and dyno'd again? At this point I would rather fix it all myself, it may take some time to buy the HP Tuners VCM Suite $500 is out of reach right now, my daughters wedding is coming up....

Thanks for your help!!

He didn't.
Injector flow rate is wrong.
Short pulse adder table untouched
Short pulse limit untouched
Offset table untouched
Makeup pulse minimum untouched
Min pulse width untouched (this in particular would make it very hard for the PCM to control fuel at idle and low load conditions)

Not to mention that he has set a commanded AFR of 10.8 at WOT to make up for how far off the MAF table and injector data has been set. Actually it is set to bounce back and forth from 10.8 to 11.3 over the RPM range.

I would start all over.

I have contacted him, but not heard back from him.... That is the same file I sent him when he first flashed my ECM. If he is not doing it right I do not want to take it back to him.... Anyone one in WA or nearby states that you would trust?

It is hard trusting my car to anyone, Tommy was so highly rated even here on the forum. I do all my own work, even designing my cam, that took me 2 years of learning and research. I guess I need to do this myself to.... THIS IS SO FRUSTRAITING!!!

Thank You!!

I wouldn't drive it till you get a base tune in the car with the injectors scaled. You could wash the Rings if it is pig rich.
