Totally agree with Cracka, and can only find Z28 axles for one side and it was pretty pricey

You were right gtstorey, inspection revealed it was a drivers rear wheel bearing. Gonna be looking at DIYs for that right now lol.

Speed dependent whine - could it be rear diff?

Looking at a 2012 SS 6mt, car has a whine that changes in volume and pitch as speed changes above 35mph. Could it possibly be a diff bearing or something driveline related? Hoping it may be tires...
