How to remove 3.5mm aux port

Long story short, half the end of my aux cord is stuck inside the input jack, so I'm unable to use the aux port..

How do you remove the aux port? does it pop out, or do I need to take a part the whole arm rest?

My aux port jack is non-usb, if anyone has link to replacement part

Thanks,

- 2014 Camaro

If you pull off the lower side pieces of the console, you can get to the set of screws that hold the very rear of the console on. Behind that cover is the back of the aux port. You have to push 2 clips down and push it into the compartment.

Thanks,

If I have non-usb unit and I replace it with the usb unit, will the aux input work?

is it necessary to flash the car?
