Pioneer 4660nex not fitting pac trim kit???

Just went to install my pioneer 4660nex, and have a pac kit to keep the factory look. Has anyone gotten this to fit? Seems like it’s slightly too big for the pac? Can the surround on the pioneer be removed to make it fit?

Thanks.

Mike

Mine fit perfectly with no issues. The short chassis makes it and easy fit and if this was around several years ago it would have possibly eliminated most of the cutting.

That’s so weird. My pioneer is too big for the hole. Yours is the 4660? Did you remove any kind of trim ring to have it fit in the dash kit?

Absolutely. Bought it last year. Open box as you can see.

Wow. I have no idea why it wouldn’t fit for me. Already sold it off and picked up the cam1. Oh well I’m really puzzled though.

You have to be patient in adjusting the side brackets. I was hoping I could pull it closer to being flush but it only really fits one way and one way only.

As far as the radio itself, you’ll find it a bit frustrating at times. I actually bought one for my other vehicle and I’ve had some issues. I think the latest software upgrade and resetting everything has resolved those issues, especially the GPS. The wireless CarPlay is awesome though.

Thanks. Yes I heard the firmware update is game changing for it. Most bugs taken care of through it. Hope it’s the case.
