Yeah...2025 sounds too far out based on how far along that test vehicle looks. I don't see any reason why this won't be fully revealed sometime next year as a 2024 model.

I know there have been rumors of a "LT3" that will be DOHC, etc. Only way that happens is if the trucks switch over to DOHC as well.

The spy shots they use as a way to back up their claim is one equipped with European specs, suggesting it is a mule of the European model. New regulations go into effect in 2024 over in Europe that will require GM to add features to the Corvette for compliance.

We shall see.

It is about time. The sedan genre is not dead. Honda and other makers are selling them every day. The Malibu is a solid effort but somehow the 9th generation disappeared. It will need quite a bit of pizzazz and good looks to compete against Accord and Camry. Chevrolet will also need another smaller sedan to shore up Malibu and to compete against another hot sedan, the Civic.

Dead? No. Life support? Pretty much. This is a chart we included in a study recently. Sedans have dropped from 43% of the market in 2000 to a projection of 14% in 2030 with continued decline forecast after that. In contrast, pickups have maintained a steady 19 - 20% of market. Most of that controlled by 3 brands, whereas sedans are split out by more than a dozen brands. Smaller pie, smaller slices for all involved. The yellow bar at the very top is where Camaro / Mustang / Supra / Z et cetera live. Just look at what's happened there since 2016 (launch of Camaro 6) to today (2022). I outlined it in red.
