Driveshaft loop recommendations 3" exhaust

About to install a complete ZL1 cradle along with 3.5" 1 piece DSS driveshaft in a couple weeks and wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a driveshaft loop that will work around 3" exhaust?

Wondering if one can be installed where the carrier bearing was once the factory 2 piece is removed? Ideally it would be nice to have one toward the front near the yoke and one near the rear close to each U-joint so if it breaks at either end it wont catapult the car, demolish the drive shaft tunnel or all of my exhaust... Any recommendations would be awesome! (I had to remove the lower brace for exhaust clearance.)

Pictures attached for reference.

I made a driveshaft loop that bolted in where the carrier bearing does. Not NHRA compliant but effective. Other than that, you have Metco and BMR.

If you are running big power with a manual, you might want to think about carbon fiber.

Just added the Metco with extension for the Gulf Coast driveshaft I just installed. Working on cleaning up exhaust leaks but this is how it looks with my 3" catless setup. No clearance issues so far.

Was looking at that one but didn’t want to take the chance as their ad says will not fit zl1’s

I'm not positive, but I got the impression from another post that the issue is with the stock ZL1 exhaust.

I ended up modifying a DS loop though I don’t remember the manufacturer of the original piece.

This was for dual 3.5 inch exhaust and a 4” one piece aluminum shaft from DSS, modified by Thrash in San Antonio…

As far as mounting a DS loop where the carrier bearing was, I’m thinking that’s too far rearward… I suppose the design would be a factor….

The first image is the original item and this is only an SS, so I’m not sure if the crossmember is the same as that in a ZL1

The next images are the same DS loop as modified by cutting it and then inserting two 2 inch pieces, lengthening it 4 inches and then adding the side gussets.

The last two are as installed.

I actually run something very similar to this, but added the one at carrier bearing mount as a second. I'm back to a stock shaft now, so the second loop is on the shelf. I may use it if I go CF or chromoly one day.
