Katech/Stanadyne Hi side fuel pump
Will be interesting to see this in action. I’m definitely a potential customer. It’s either meth, cam or this for me

Interesting to see the capacity difference vs Lingenfelter’s Big Bore one. That had to be the pump they were targeting to beat with this new one.

Ideally you will want injectors and ultimately a cam with rods/pistons if going north of 700whp. I have been down this path already starting with the high side pump only, then adding injectors. The high side pump upgrade will get you to around 600whp on E80 or 650whp E60 in positive DA. Add the +30's will get you close to 700whp on E60 with stock cam. They would support more if the LPE HPFP could keep up. So maybe this pump will go a little further. Add a Cam with a 38% lobe now you should be able to get to 800-850whp on E60+ along with the pump and injectors. Want more, then you need the +65's.
if it will drive a 44% lobe without issues at higher RPM, it could potentially have a bit more capability. The biggest problem I see is the inlet and outlet side of these hpfp are not large enough to flow the volume needed to run full E at big horsepower levels. 3/8 is only going to flow so much. Also the 250bar capability does not matter when all of the current injector offerings will not run that pressure(3600psi). There will need to be some bigger injectors that can handle 3600psi to maximize these pumps capabilities, because if you have to turn the rail pressure down to keep the injectors from misfiring, I don't see it gaining anything over the LPE.

My only question is if it will flow more than the LPE with a stock LT4 fuel lobe.
I want a hpfp solution that allows you to run E80 with 30%+ ,x port + pulley and all the other bolt ons. Currently I can only run a max of E70 in the summer and E60 in the winter with the LPE. Sometimes I wish they would just flat come out and say what it flows compared to the competition. |

I’ve seen the stanadyne pump floating around for a while. Seems like Katech helped them make it a plug n play for LT?…

Also, I see DSX lists this pump on their website for under 1400.00 but says "sold out". Side note, LPE also has a new HPFP and Injector from Nostrum based on LT4 rail pressure instead of LT1.

Hopefully it is a bolt on better option than lt4 and can come in at about half of the cost of LPE pump

I agree...based on DSX website it looks to be a lot cheaper than the LPE.

Yeah just seen that post. For clarification the pump on the DSX site isn't the same.
Katech Mike is saying the hit 1300whp on full E with this pump and +65 Injectors and still didn't find its limits on a turbo setup. Belt driven supercharger stuff will likely be less due to parasitic pumping loss but still impressive to say the least. Look forward to seeing more results!

Well this muddies the water for sure. If this pump is that reasonable, I don’t mind springing for the +65 injectors too. My LPE/+52 setup is out of steam at 1230 crank HP on E50 so this sounds like an improvement for sure.

It looking promising. Katech has made that power running the 65’s at 2,700psi rail pressure. In my scenario all I would have to do is upgrade the HPFP and I should be good. Would most likely just do the vette.

Yeah it sounds perfect. If my HPFP could carry 2700+ psi my injectors would go further too (although I’d probably just do the +65s to get it over with). Although it’s more money than port, I like the simplicity and extra power of DI-only.

If this pump will hold 2900 psi with 30%+ injectors at 6ms it will be a game changer for the daily street killer setup and I’ll buy one ASAP.
My LPE may be for sale soon at a big discount |
