This is really cool!

Not something I would have thought to use OnStar for...but WOW...you may have saved someone's life by doing that!

Nice job on making sure that person was reported or else they wouldve done more damage if not killed someone in the process.

I just wonder if OnStar would give people special priveldges for stuff like this..

This is a good story and exactly the type of thing police should be looking for versus just sitting on the side of the road pulling over people going 10 mph over the speed limit to generate tax revenue. Aggressive drivers, whether drunk or not are usually the real problem. How many times have you seen people weaving in and out of lanes or aggressively tailgating - I think those people cause a lot of accidents.

I think GM should also market OnStar as a vehicle recording device, MEANING you can hit a button and onstar will record what is said in the vehicle. Eventually they can add video function to it. This way as a driver you can protect your rights when having a conversation with police, say if they pull you over. There is no more he said / she said. I think it would be an interesting product expansion and I for one would be more likely to subscribe if it had this function. Why should the police have all the power in court? If you had a recording of what was actually said it might be something people would buy.

The video function would also have some value I believe.

Just some thoughts on what onstar could do to make its product more interesting.
