My dealer said "You have GM roadside assistance." I think it was poor planning. I'd like a spare too. I've only had 3 flat tires in 33 years of driving, but when you do, it's really nice to have a spare!
I beg to differ with you on that. I fit a stock 20" wheel with tire in the trunk of my camaro.

I figure if I am out I'll have to use onstar for the roadside assistance.

Having a useable spare was one reason I decided to stay with 19" wheels front and rear. I just hope GM did not pull something like making different offsets so that the front wheel still will not fit on the rear.
If I had the inflator kit, I still would not put the goop in the tire. Too much trouble to clean up when you get the tire repaired. I would still carry a plug kit and air compressor.

Surely, GM will give me a jack with the spare tire, but I have not been able to find a car with the spare to check. :(

I haven't actually tried it, but I'm just telling you what the dealer told me. I told them I'd like a spare with my 2SS. He told me that I could not order one because it won't fit in the trunk.

Do you mean in the trunk or the spare tire recess?
What size 20" tire? e.g. 225, 245, 275 ?

It fits in the spare wheel well where the battery is?

I personally feel much better with a spare, its funny, but i got an LS and that was the only option it came with , and it did came with the jack and all.

its a 18" diameter rim., are you sure you cannot fit that with the Brembos?
Cause im installing brembos in a few weeks and i would like to keep my spare .

I guess i can try it on when i do the swap.

It was either a 245 or a 275. I think it was the 275. It fits in the trunk area, not the spare tire area.

That is pretty much all you are going to fit in the trunk that way.

I had one in the trunk, two in the backseat, and one in the front seat. This was taking my spare set of wheels back from the dealer. I had winter tires on my car at this point, and just got these mounted and balanced.

Those with the inflator kit I would recommend trying out your inflator to make sure it works before finding out the hard way on a dark stretch of lonely road.

I've already tried mine, as the compressor that is included is a real nice one. I used it for switching the tires from summer to winter, and winter to summer it pumps up the tires quite fast.

I haven't tried using the actual sealant though.

can anyone verify that the sealant ACTUALLY works....i obviously understand that it wont help at all in the event of a blowout or something like that - but for your standard nail, glass, slow leak - do this actually work??

all i can imagine is that they give us a can of spray cheese and expect this to be efficient lol

It is possible that you might not get the sealant distributed all the way around the tire to cover the leak. I think it works if you get it in the right area.
It also makes a real mess to clean up when you remove the tire for permanent repair or replacement. I have heard it can also cause problems with the TPS.
