I'd say to keep the miles low on it.. Maybe a vacation car.

Move to Michigan and your opinion will change on that. For me it comes down to the car being a toy not a daily driver. I have owned a dozen Sports/Muscle cars and in MI and it's just not the same driving your car in snow and salt as it would be living in FL. If I was making monthly payments on it I would feel the same way you do, but to me its a paid for toy. It cost me nothing to sit there. Plus, every spring when I pull it out, it's like getting a new car again. I know some here can relate to that. No, it's not a 150k supercar, but it's my baby. Good example... today we were blessed with a lovely 10 inches of snow. If you guys in these warm states had to deal with that that unexpectedly, and it was in the budget, you would have a Daily Driver too.

it's a personal preference. some people have the money to have a beautiful weekend car, others of us spend what we have to have a beautiful car in general.

I saved for years waiting for these to come out, I bought a v8 stick with dreams of one day it will sit in my driveway and just look pretty...for now it's all I have and I love driving it everyday...I only put 7,000 on it in a year because I do baby it and avoid driving it in snow and rain, but sometimes you just can't help taking her out...

all them threads make me watch who I park by and check the car EVERY time i get in.No garage queen here i have near 8k on it and got it in september....next week or 2 it will be S/C then we will see!

These cars are meant to be driven. They aren't $150k supercars.

Got mine last June and put 1500 miles on it.No rain no snow.Week end toy.
Always park far in back away from other cars.
Must be a sickness.

I like keeping Lola looking like the day I brought her home. I have two other cars to choose from for my daily driver. When I take Lola out it is a treat; the feeling of anticipation. I average 200 miles a month...that is enough.

Let me ask you all a question for those that don't understand why we let these cars sit.
If you lived in a bad weather area AND had another car to drive would you drive the Camaro on bad weather days? It really is a simple as that.

Mine is a 2010 2SS/RS that I ordered in Jan 09. I have 6,500 miles on it, right now it's in storage for the winter. I store it for 4 months during the winter.

I don't drive it all the time because I have 3 other vehicles, I don't drive it in the rain, and I am trying to keep the miles down to keep the resale value up. I have Hagerty Collector Car insurance and I am limited to 3K miles a year. My insurance is only
$600/year which is very cheap compared to what I've seen other people are paying.

I just got mine a couple weeks ago and it's my daily driver. I also don't have a garage so it sits in the elements but I've washed it every weekend so far and will continue to do so. I love my car and love every minute I'm driving in it.

i live 4 miles from work, and if ive had even so much as a beer, i wont drive this car. and 1 is my limit for other things. on weekends i seem to do stuff that requires the use of my truck. 19 months old, and 6900 kms.
