I guessing its the rear based off what everyone at the track heard and saw and the fact that when I put it in gear and start to let off the clutch it sounds like a popcorn maker and there is zero movement.

Just because it tells when to use it, I bet it also says in the fine print of the warranty that it doesn't cover at the track. It doesn't have to say it in the same place.

True, was there anyone running around at the Fest taking vin numbers... I seriously doubt it...

My thoughts exactly! If you're on a closed course this should be covered!

If using launch control is in the manual (which it is) and you haven't modified the drive train, then it should be covered.

It's possible it was the axel or output shaft too but since it's a 2011 I doubt it's the output shaft. That's long been taken care of. The only reason I'm questioning the axel is when kne snaps, what does the other one do? Would the limited slip make that one try to turn??? You can check both easily.

Axel: jack the back of the car and turn one wheel. If the other wheel doesn't turn the opposite direction. Hell you may just be able to look under the car and see.

Output shaft: put the car in gear and let out the clutch. Listen where the noise comes from. Rear of car=gears. Center of car=output shaft. Usually the output shaft issue it just revs up even if it's in gear.

Just watch the GM promo on Launch control (you tube it) Repeatedly stated Will not void your warranty like the GTR. It's was designed for drag racing. Aggravation yes, but should be covered by your warranty.

LOL. There is a pic floating around of my car on the wrecker. It was a sad day to say the least. Thankfully it is an easy fix if it's the rear end.
