An odd question about theft... Why would someone take this stuff?
I have an odd question about theft, a friend of mine had her car broken into recently, and I found the items stolen to be... strange.. Maybe someone here can clarify as to why someone would want to steal these items..?
-Proof of insurance card -The sheet of paper that the state registration sticker is attached to when you receive it (the sticker had already been removed and placed in the window) -A few other misc. paperwork records regarding the cars maintenance She had some cash missing as well (not surprising), but they left anything of real value.. Designer sunglasses, CDs, the radio. I really don't know what to make of this... does anyone here have any ideas...? |

Many years ago we had some thiefs breaking into cars at my work place. They would steal your garage door opener and registration info which has your address on it and go clean out your house while you were at work. May have targeted that stuff because it had her address on it.

2. They thought it was something valuable and just grabbed it quickly. - Point is don't leave anything out in the open where someone can see it.

I had someone break into my car once to steal a portable car starter, jumper cables, and some oil....they left ~$1000 worth of stereo equipment....
I figured maybe their ride broke down?
