Wow... I think it would look great either way. Red always strikes me as flashier than blue, so I think it depends on what you like. Subdued or loud...

I really love the way this color looks. But if I'm going to go "all in" on a restoration, I gotta go with it. If anybody has a Dusk Blue Z (who's pics will give me that "push over the cliff") please post them and help this tortured soul...lol

Are you keeping the car or selling it? Resale value is theoretically less with the wrong color on it but the difference is limited to the cost of a repaint so....own a color you like.

Well if that is your actual car in the first pic I see no reason to change that paint job! It looks pretty dang good. IF your car actually NEEDS a repaint then I'd say go for the original paint, but if it's perfect (or close to it) now then it will just make you worry about it more if you get a brand new paint job.

It looks good like it is. I would save color change for when it actually needs paint, especially if you are keeping it and are satisfied with the current color. If there is paint or body damage that needs repair that is not visible in the provided picture, by all means I would consider taking it back to original (as long as you like the color). It makes more of a difference in a Z than a standard like mine. I painted my 68 back lemans blue (original color) because I love the color. My 69 conv was painted a late model color because the original color was not one I like, I have no intention to sell it, and mine is not a super high dollar collectible. It needed a lot of sheetmetal work as well when I got it, so a paint job was in order.

I would keep the red, personally it looks better than the blue.
