Took delivery of #7395 on Wednesday. It was stuck in QC for a month, and it has the wheel weights painted black.

when they "fall" off what is gm going to do?, i think if enough people have them "fall" off and complain about a brake squeal they would have to replace the calipers with a new design

or 2 yrs down the road you take the car in for warranty work, brakes pull or fluid leak and the dealer needs to replace a caliper, what are they going to do,, try to re-stick weights on the caliper

Wheel Weights on calipers

While showing a neighbor my son's 2SS this past Sat, my neighbor was crouched down admiring the Brembo's calipers when he asked "what are these things". So I bend down and see a stack of what appears to be the stick-on wheel weights stacked on top of the caliper.

What is this for? Is this some temp fix to a known problem and a recall or TSB will be fourth coming to provide a permanent FIX?

I'd hate to track my car with these things attached knowing that on my Corvette I would generate over 800 degrees of rotor temp and I'm guessing the adhesive on these things won't withstand that sort of environment.

Are ALL BREMBO equipped cars afflicted or just some? We are VIN 4486.

That had an issue with brake noise/squeal thats their fix for right now, service bulletin may be coming if it already has not. They made a choice not to delay the car further and produce them like that. Trust me this was beat to death it even made the front page of the site.

My car has them 2SS # 9415. Yea it sucks after Mr. Fitzgerald says that it would only be on early cars. Oh well when they fall off back to the dealer. They will get tired of this and fix soon.

My fiancee's CGM 2SS/RS is #10120 and it has wheel weights on the front calipers only.
