man....I'm 29 and only thing current on my record is a parking lot accident. I'm paying 1k for 6 months with geico on my 07 eclipse and it was basically the same before the accident. When I get the camaro price basically won't move, what's a guy gotta do to get this to the 600-800 numbers everyone's throwing out? lol

I've had State Farm for 20 years. State Farm and USAA are the only way to go.

I was with Nationwide but they raised my rates when the car hit 3 years old, said I lost my new car discount. That cost them my business. After searching around I found Geico beat everyone including USAA for the same coverage. Saved me about $100 every six months.

Geico. I like them, only because they saved me roughly 1200$ every year on full coverage switching from USAA.

I have USAA, but haven't had to really use them yet for any claims. I had Farm Bureau previously but had to change due to moving, I loved them and rates were cheaper than with USAA.

I'd really be interested to see why USAA is so expensive for some but cheap for others. I'm sure their algorithms are proprietary but I just don't get how it could be so cheap for me but so expensive for an older person with fewer accidents.

I work for one of the insurance companies, so I won't say too much.
Understand your insurance needs (coverages, limits, etc) and shop around. All companies will price you differently based on their loss experience with similar risks (driver, vehicle, vehicle use, zip code, etc) |
