It started today.
We already had the new combo planned out and parts beginning to ship this morning. Didn't want to get into a time crunch like we did with this combo. It was started for the first time on Tuesday just two days before we left for the mile. The bigger motor is together and ready to go in the car now. |

After replacing both axles on Saturday, I ran 186.1! Was very pleased with the runs, all things considered.

It's the 4.2. It was meant to go on the 430 Lsx motor but plans changed on Monday before the mile.
It made 1080 rwtq at 2800 rpm We were fighting high IAT temps all weekend with the KB. At the end of a run they were 210+ even with ice packed in the water tank. |

The Sunday morning weather was worth at least 3-4 mph. I was going to throw the kill tune in the Camaro on Sunday morning but after we kicked the accessory belt off of the car on Saturday and ran the last 7 seconds without the water pump turning I didn't think it would last a full run. Turns out nothing was wrong with the motor. It could have went a few mph faster. Come October we will reset the record past 220 and also taking a CTS-V (Wills car) looking for 215+. |
