It's a giant desert, I don't find it unbelievable that you could do that there at all.

You would really need to strip you r car to examin the damage.
A really good 4 stage wash should help, followed by a clay bar session.

So, in a salt/sand/dust free environment, apply a good pre rinse, allow it to soak for a few minuts, then rinse.
Apply a good wash product and use a wash brush and then rinse.
Apply a good wash product then use a handheld wash mitt, then rinse.

procede to clay the entire car.
Examine the damage.
Apply a high end polish, probably want 2 coats. let it dry.
Apply a high end wax, 2 coats as well.

Seriously, I understand you are in Salty Labia, but I still find it hard to believe you could maintain those speeds. Fun if you could though.
You sound like a person that never left their home that's under a rock.

With that being said, yes, its 100% possible to do that kind of speed in the Middle East due to long stretches of well-maintained roads, however, it is illegal.

Understandable, but what I was saying is that, those speeds are not unbelievable in that region. Being that I lived in different countries in the Middle East for 12 years, it was the norm that people drove 100-200 kmh.

Having spent some time in Saudi Arabia with a rental Mitsubishi, I can say that I had frequent opportunities to drive that poor car as fast as it would go. Beautiful roads, with great shoulders and visibility. I am not sure I ever saw a police unit outside Riyadh.

Well not exactly. Although I've never been in the Mideast desert (and never intend to be), I have logged a couple of years of Autobahn driving. Of course my little Audi 80 wouldn't go more then 100 MPH, but I had my foot to the floor a lot.

Okay... so he drove 750 miles at 105, 200 miles at 124, and 50 miles at 155 MPH. Cool.[/QUOTE]

I don't get why everyone is questioning my speeds.. 155 mph isn't that hard to reach.
illegal? .. Yes
dangerous? .. Kinda
But when you have open wide smooth roads that span for thousands of miles, plus it being never busy, one just can't help but to go faster. We have speed cameras and police at every turn inside the city. Outside, however, very seldom do you find a speed camera.

I did get caught though, outside the city where I started, got flashed going 120 on a 100 road. Like a $75 fine. After that though, clean roads.

Out in middle, the average vehicle travels at 140-160 km/h (Camry, Prius, Hyundai, etc.). So don't mind me going a bit faster. These speeds and more are totally possible on these roads, and I wouldn't be surprised if people have gone faster on them.

update:
I've done some kind of "shiner" to the car which I'm regretting even more. Although the shiner is clear, it still gave the appearance of being air sprayed (those can spray lines). Looks horrible! I don't know what to do now.. I'll either get it repainted or go for a zl1 bumper..
hopefully..

best wishes

OP, thanks for sharing what it's like in the desert. I've never been there but hope to be someday.

Not the same, but my daughters Honda Accord had a squeaking/chirping sound coming from the rear end.
It ended up being a tire that had a few chips on the tread of left rear tire.

Either way , it feels good to cruise at speed.

That comment was not directed towards you and I agree with you. I'm sure the OP was happy to drive his car at that speed and distance but wasn't happy with the sandblaster.
