Ryanbabs71, I do, but we have to eliminate all options...I think it may be a rear of engine gasket or seal now as the problem occurs after pushing the engine some, e.g., highway driving, revving past 3K, etc.

Do you have a catch can?

I have had the oil smell too, but now keep the oil level just under full and have not had a recurrence. My theory was it got whipped up if overfilled and created a lot of oil mist. Not sure if that actually fixed it. I also now have the 1LE oil separator installed.

I do get a different smell from the AC from time to time, particularly if it hasn't been run in a while. Smells a little like clutch. That goes away if the AC is run for a few minutes.

I get the oil smell only when I'm using the paddle shifters or getting into the higher rpms. I noticed the smell when I installed the headers and ditched the cats, thought it could be an exhaust leak or oil but the car has neither.

Im going to go on a whim and say its probably from pooled oil in your intake manifolds. Oil and gas hit the cats and burn off right below the floor board beneath your feet. I had this smell when running no catch can and headers. Post seafoam and catch can, havent had this smell since. I am a V6 though.

My car is right at the 1000 mile mark. I got my first oil change this week. I had them use full synthetic. I now have the smell. Oil level is perfect. No visible spills or leaks. There was no smell prior to the oil being changed. I had not seen this thread until this morning.
