IPF TUne or Trifecta tune safe?
I really want to get a tune. I just want to know how it is for the longevity of the car. I have 59,000 miles. My mods are catch can, injen short ram intake, ultra flo exhaust, iceolator, and ported throttle body. Do you think it is a safe mod?

Honestly it wouldn't hurt to do it. You got some decent mods on it, none that are required to have a tune done. But if your just doing it to see the numbers I say go for it Its always cool to see those and it won't hurt your car even at the miles your at. Hope this helps. Feel free to call, PM or email us at any time.

Yes, and if you have an automatic a tune is worth it. HP Tuners or IPF would be the way to go.

With the 2011 you have a Bosch ECU. The IPF is a canned tune and has been known to not be stable on all 2011's with out some tweaks by IPF after the first download. HPtune on the otherhand can be done by a local tuner on dyno for best results. I am running the IPF and have a slight idle oscilation. I have seen three HPTune 2010 and 2011 camaro's and when finished they run very smooth and powerful. I think I will be going that direction soon if I can't get rid of the idle oscilation on the IPF tune.

I have an IPF tune on mine with similar mods. I didn't notice much of a difference. Not sure if maybe I have one of the "unstable" models but I notice some days she runs like a CHAMP... other days she seems real twitchy and under powered. Not sure if that's just me, or the car, or the fact that I haven't had my tune adjusted since I installed it a year ago. I added the spacer and an x-pipe since the initial install, I don't think it would make THAT big of a difference to reflash but who knows. I was supposed to meet up with one of the local IPF guys over the weekend but when I called, no one answered. Bummer too, I was really hoping to re-tune before I drive back to Cali for the holidays.

installed the IPF today. It really makes a difference from starting point and acceleration. I have to try not to spin the tires from take off if I want to go fast.

I went from Hypertech to Trifecta a couple of weeks ago. The difference is very noticeable. Especially in my transmission shifting since I have a automatic. My mods are:
* Ported Throttle Body * Intake Manifold Iceolator * Doug Thortey Shorty Headers * Pypes Catback Exhaust * Volant CAI
