8k down on a lease! God forbid you total the car tomorrow you just lost yourself 8k. Insurance will cover the cost of the vehicle whether you put 0 down or 8k down. All GM leases come with gap protection as well.

Not sure why monthly payment amount would even matter. You could have a monthly payment of $43,000 and only have to pay one month. Would that be winner of this thread?

All depends on your individual financial situation. For me makes since to stretch out the life of the loan considering ill be at a relative low rate while doubling up on payments here and there, but God forbid if times get tough my burden would be lower. As oppose to a shorter term

I might have one of the lowest monthly payments here on a 2SS.
My monthly payment is only $395 for 72 months @ 2.8%

Guessing not so much a win-lose question so much as just finding a median or avg payment. That & forums can throw around msrp & discount numbers pretty easily. But if someone is shopping, that $600-$800 payment has some bite to it. Then of course add insurance & my reality will be window shopping on Sundays while the dealerships are closed.

I'll update next week after finalizing paperwork... But, car is $47,800 including tax, minus $2800 rebates, minus $15000 down = I'll be financing $30-31k, I have a 844 credit score. Looking for a 72month loan.

I financed $26000. I traded in a STI and got almost $28000 for it and only owed $15000 on it.

I think I got everyone beat, nothing down and 847.11 a month for 72 mos. This is for a 2SS with a sticker of $47,000.00. I don't have the best credit with divorce leaving me with no choice but to fall behind on credit cards a while back so best I could get was 9.9%.
