Guy's,,, Watch Out for your Cars!!

This morning I had to make a run the parts store for my truck, well as I was walking away from my Camaro, I punched my lock button on the key fob, I swore I heard my door unlock??? So I went back to the car, and it was unlocked??? Relocked it, and as I got about 20 feet away, I heard it again!

At this point I knew somebody around my car was pulling this, so I relocked her and went into the parts store and told my buddy who work there somebody is trying to steal my car. So he grabbed an aluminum baseball bat from under the counter, and we watched for anybody to approach my car Man I still have the chills from this,,,

We watch as this skinny guy slowly walks close to my car, then go's up to the drivers side door, we took off running towards my car just as the guy opened the door. Somebody in another car started honking, so we new there were two of them. Well my buddy went right to that car, and ripped the guy out of it, as I did one of the stupidest things I 've done in day's,,,lol
I did a WWF flying jump on the guy about to climb in my car, and broke the guys nose with a head butt I never felt, but he bleed pretty good, and the guy in car honking went to the hospital, my buddy let him have it big time Cops where there in min's and found some kind of code reader in their car, and arrested both of them, and thanked us while laughing at what we did to them. Next thing there's 7 more police cars surrounding us, and all laughing and joking about how they wish this had been taped, asking if there were any camara's pointed at the parking lot. They said be wouldn't be charged with anything but, kickin a$$,,,,, What a effin morning!!

Interesting so there's a device out there that can unlock our cars without being directly in front of it. Pretty scary. I always wondered if the apps people have on iPhones would be easy to hack. I'd be a bit more worriupset d about 8 speed auto cars with remote start.

There are devices out there that amplify the "bubble" around the car to encompass a greater area in hopes your key is within 100feet of the car..etc

Do you have that OnStar service that lets you unlock your car with a phone app?

I heard you need to hit your button numerous times when you walk away and each time it changes the code and they can't keep up with it.

Glad you're ok.....Chalk one up for the good guys....!

Gotta wonder at what point all this techy convenience stuff is worth it....cool gadgets, but makes things easier for thieves as well....They probably had a code to start the thing as well...

Gimme lo-tech (an old fashioned key).....

I have mine passively lock after I close the door. There shouldn't be any signals floating in the air. I wonder if this would be a better option?
