Here is a link from AAC.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135406

I tapped my Radar detector into the red wire under the center console, because it is on ACC, I don't want my Detector running my battery down when I'm not in it.

How do I run wires under the carpet? Do I pull out the carpet, or just use a opened hanger to snake the wire through?

Edit: I'm talking about for rear footwell lighting

I'm trying to fish the wires through the carpet and into the center console and I have no idea how to do that! the hangar doesnt want to go where I want it to go and the carpet doesn't lift up... ahhh I'm getting so frustrated

Remove the rear seat bottom...this may give you the play you need to fish your wires.

Talk about one hell of a frustrating day

I did my footwell lighting this morning using Tony's method of tapping into the dome light wire on the BCM. Thanks very much, Tony!

I used AAC's footwell lighting kit with SMD flexible strip in the same color as the ambient lighting (http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...ingpair-1.aspx).

The hardest part for me was to get the t-tap to clip onto the wire. I have arthritis in my hand and couldn't squeeze it hard enough. So, I taped the t-tap onto my pliers so I could reach up in there and snap it on. It's almost impossible to get 2 hands up in there. Once I got the t-tap on, the rest was easy. Here is a pic.

Are you referring to the gray wire in this video is the one you tapped into?
