Camaro5 Fest Convoy Plans
Hey there Southwest Gang!
Well, now that it's officially been confirmed, I wanted to start a thread so that we can plan far enough ahead to make a convoy out of the event for those planning to attend. Here's the link to the dates and location.... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107508 April 15-16 @ Firebird Speedway in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be an awesome event for all Camaro owners and potential future owners to see, meet, and attend the world most popular Camaro Party. Stay tuned for more and chime in if you're plannin on making the trip! Here's to the Fest being in our neck of the woods! I wonder if LPE will come out west for this one? It would be cool to have all the regional beasts together with them.

Hello All
The Albuquerque group what day are we thinking about pulling out of town? It should take a good part of the day to get there so will be leaveing on Thur. ? This will give us time to get to Phoenix and a change to clean the cars before taken them to the show. What do you all think I would like to know so that I can request the time off of work. Let talk it up. |

Since Jim and I drive back and forth to Phoenix quite alot.....the southern route....going through Hatch and coming up through Tucson will run about 8-8.5 hours. That's with one stop! We usually go the northern route on I40 to I17...that way takes us 6.5 hours, with one stop! As you can tell Jim doesn't like to stop much...likes to get where we are going. I am open for either way....Since the meet is going to be in April, I would say go south to avoid snow in Gallup, Grants and Flagstaff...we have driven out at Easter and hit a blizzard one year where we hugged the back end of a Semi, just to be able to see! It's going to be a blast!!!!!!

Most definitely going to head south on I25 and then west on I10.
Perhaps meeting up in Deming on 10 once us "northerns" take the Hatch/Deming Shortcut would be in order. Since the Shebang starts on the 15th, I'd guess we'd be meeting up sometime in the AM on the 14th right?? That would put all of us arriving late evening in PHX on that same day. Just in time to check in and get settled for the next three days. Keep it active down there in the Las Cruces areas and figure out what y'all need to do to make meeting in Deming happen. We'll work out the caravan to you guys there. Deal??!! I'd also recommend trying to get accomidations asap as the surrounding area will fill fast and you don't want to have to drive an hour to get to Firebird. It's a ways out, but now is the time to start planning if you're wanting to go. Woot! Ivan |
